15:00 | 26.05.2020 Category: Official

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/ - In connection with the statements of the so-called Tiraspol administration on the organization of the repatriation in the region of the citizens and people with residence in Moldova, we communicate the following:

The Reintegration Policies Bureau informs Moldova’s citizens with the residence on the left bank of Dniester that Moldova’s legal public authorities are the only ones having right to negotiate with foreign states the organization of the international passenger transport.

If citizens are set to return to Moldova, it is recommended for them to consult the travel alerts on the website of the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (mfa.gov.md/ro/content/alerte-de-calatorie-covid-19) and to contact the diplomatic mission or consular office of Moldova from the residence country or the closest diplomatic mission of Moldova, in order to specify the information on the accessible border crossing points for entrance/exit/transiting. The list of diplomatic missions with their contact data can be consulted here: mfa.gov.md/sites/default/files/tabel.pdf.

The Reintegration Policies Bureau warns citizens not to let themselves be misled and inform only from Moldova’s official sources (Moldovan diplomatic missions accredited abroad, as well as other state institutions), when it is necessary to repatriate in the region.

The Reintegration Policies Bureau remains open for cooperation and will make necessary efforts for providing assistance to Moldova’s citizens with residence in the Transnistrian region, who want to return to the country.

We remind that the decisions by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission are compulsory.
