List of compensated medication extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ - The insured people starting from today will benefit from more compensated medicines. Beginning from 10 July, the list was completed with five international common names. An order to this effect by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) was published today and entered into force.

Thus, the list was completed with montelukastum  for the treatment of the bronchial asthma in children, bilastinum for the treatment of the bullous epidermolysis, ferri III hydroxidum polymaltosi complexum for the treatment of anaemia in pregnant women, all with 100 per cent compensation rate. Losartanum+hydrochlorthiazidum – a preparation meant for cardiovascular diseases - will be compensated with a rate of 70 per cent.   

The medicine cefaclor was introduced in the list too; it will be used in the day stationary institutions starting from the date of resuming the work for the treatment of the community-acquired pneumonia and bronchitis. This medicine will be compensated 100 per cent for children and 70 per cent for adults.  

Another amendment made to the list of compensated preparations refers to extending the number diseases for which compensated medication will be proscribed.

At the same time, 16 international common names from the list of compensated preparations were completed with new pharmaceutical doses and forms.    

According to estimations, till late 2020, about 50,000 people will benefit from compensated medicines and the spending to this end will reach 60 million lei.

Presently, the list of compensated medication includes 153 international common names and can be found at the family physician, in drug stores. It can be accessed on the official sites of MSMPS and National Health Insurances House.
