Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, asked the ministers to ensure the elaboration of normative frameworks for the implementation of the important social drafts, for which the executive body assumed responsibility before parliament, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

„The drafts on which we took responsibility before parliament have entered into force; we must ensure their implementation, as they are quite expected by the citizens and economic agents,’’ the PM said.

Among these drafts, there are the increase of the medical staff’s salary by 30 per cent as of 1 September 2020, allocation of financial means for pensioners and beneficiaries of social allocations, allocation of 50 million lei by the Organization for Small- and medium-sized Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM) for guaranteeing the loans of economic agents, earmarking of 50 million lei to set up 16 industrial platforms in Moldova’s districts. ‘’All these the grounds with an area of about 300 hectares must be connected to all utilities, so that investors can come, place businesses and be able to create jobs in district centres, with emphasis put on the industrial sector. We continue identifying grounds in the other districts as well,’’ the prime minister said.

In the context of the filling of the agriculture subsidization fund by 100 million lei, Ion Chicu asked the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry to work out a regulation on distribution of financial means to farmers hit by the natural calamities, especially the drought. The agricultural crops from southern Moldova were worst hit.

Minister Ion Perju unveiled preliminary information on the results of the harvest from the first group. The country’s food security will be ensured. A harvest of over 600,000 tons of wheat is scheduled, related to the needed quantity of 350,000 tons on the country. The export of the harvest will be possible too.

The PM also asked to ensure the quality of roads’ construction, for which six billion lei was allocated this year. ‘’We have, simultaneously, more than 1,000 road segments under repair. The monitoring of the quality is absolutely important and necessary. We have already signals that the quality is not ensured everywhere. We will not pay money from the budget, if the quality does not meet the standards,’’ the prime minister said.

Ion Chicu demanded that the Economics Ministry, Constructions Inspection and all decision-makers monitor each stage of building road segments, in order to ensure their quality.
