Moldova, Russia to negotiate agreement on cooperation in health sector

Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved a decision on starting negotiations on a draft agreement between the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry of Moldova and the Health Ministry of Russia on cooperation in the sector of health, medical education and science.   

Under the decision, the agreement includes ten articles, which establish the general framework of cooperation, formulation of aspects it is supposed to regulate, etc.

The sides will ensure the mutually advantageous cooperation in such fields as: primary, secondary medical assistance, including high-performance medical services; prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases which pose danger for the society, including tuberculosis, HIV infection and other diseases; prevention, diagnosis and treatment of non-communicable diseases, including cardiovascular, oncological, endocrine and other diseases.  

Also, the agreement will refer to the movement of medical devices, protecting the health of mother and child, formation of the sound lifestyle, sanitary and epidemiological well-being and biological safety, calamities’ medicine, providing medical assistance, other sectors of cooperation mutually agreed upon.
