As many as 588 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 August /MOLDPRES/- In the last 24 hours, 3,159 tests were processed in Moldova, 588 cases of infection with the new coronavirus being confirmed. In total, 33072 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country so far.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection / MSMPS /, out of the number of illnesses, three are imported. Of the total number of cases, 41 are medical workers.
Another 285 people were treated.
In total, 22,958 people were cured by COVID-19.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of six other deaths caused by COVID-19, the number of deaths reaching 935.
