Enhanced epidemiological alert in Chisinau

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/- Increased epidemiological alert is declared in Chisinau.

Acting deputy head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health Boris Galca said today at the online meeting of municipal services that state of increased epidemiological alert is declared in the capital, exceeding the number of 15 thousand patients with COVID-19. "We have 700 health workers who have been infected with coronavirus,"Galca said.

Gâlcă informed that the incidence of coronavirus per one hundred thousand inhabitants increased, reaching 648, and asked the inhabitants of Chisinau to comply with the rules of self-protection against COVID-19.

So far, 37,208 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the Republic of Moldova and 1,008 people have died.
