New head appointed at Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases

Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/- The Superior Council of Prosecutors / CSP / appointed today as head of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases / PCCOCS / Ion Caracuian, the current deputy head of the institution.
Ion Caracuian was the only candidate for the position of chief prosecutor of the PCCOCS registered in the competition. CSP decision is to be sent to the Prosecutor General for approval.
Previously, Ion Caracuian has held several positions, including the interim head of the anti-torture department of the General Prosecutor's Office.
