Health ministry to purchase 100,000 tests to diagnose COVID-19 infection

Chisinau, 9 September /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection will purchase in the next period another batch of 100,000 tests to diagnose COVID-19 infection, eight resuscitation ambulances for newborns and adults, patient monitors, fans, mobile radiography devices, electrocardiographs and supplies to ensure laboratory diagnosis of COVID-19. Procurement will be made within the World Bank project Emergency response to COVID-19 in Moldova.

Today, the head of health Viorica Dumbrăveanu summoned a meeting of those responsible for implementing the above-mentioned project and reviewed the achievements and goals set for the next period.

On 21 May 2020, the authorities ratified the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the International Development Association on the implementation of the Emergency Response to COVID-19 Project worth 52.9 million euros, signed on 28 April 2020.
