Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/- The Anti-Terrorist Center of the Intelligence and Security Service / SIS /, together with the Agency for Technical Surveillance conducted checks at several companies licensed for import, storage of explosive materials and carrying out works with explosives for civilian use. As a result, one of them remained unlicensed.

According to the SIS press service, as a result of the checks, a number of irregularities were identified in three economic operators in terms of security of storage, storage conditions and storage activity of explosive materials.

Thus, the SIS officers set out that one of the explosive storage depots obtained the license by violation of the legal provisions. Among the detected irregularities are: walls made of fragile materials that allow easy penetration inside them; lack of prohibitions on appropriate signaling of a dangerous area for the population; the malfunction of the fixed and the mobile alarm button; lack of video surveillance system; inefficient lighting system etc.

Following the checks, at the request of SIS, the economic agent's license was canceled by the Public Services Agency, and the National Anticorruption Center was also notified.

Another illegal deposit was found on the territory of a limestone quarry near the gas pipeline. It did not meet the requirements of the law and did not have a license.
