As many as 652 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 2,779 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 652 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 65,076 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), the number of deaths has increased by 20 per cent against the previous week. Forty three out of all cases are medical employees.

Most cases were recorded in Chisinau, - 188, and over 140 new cases – in the Transnistrian region.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 834 are in serious condition, of whom 39 patients are connected to assisted breathing.

Another 465 people were treated and discharged today. As many as 46,010 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,530 people dead of coronavirus in all.
