As many as 784 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 3,446 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 784 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 65,860 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 52 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 10, medical assistants –28, auxiliary staff employees – 14.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 864 are in serious condition, of whom 36 patients are connected to assisted breathing. At the same time, 1,541 patients are in medium seriousness condition.

Another 533 people were treated and discharged today. As many as 46,543 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

In the context, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,549 people dead of coronavirus in all.
