About 12% of voters went to polls by 11:00

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/- Over 315,000 voters or about 12 percent went to the polls by 11:00.

According to CEC data, the turnout in Moldova is 315,327 people or 11.25%, of which 50.69% women and 49.31% men.

Most turned out to vote citizens aged 56-70 - 43.2%, then 41-55 - 23%, 26-40 - 15%, young people aged 18 to 25 - 4 , 5%, and those over 71 - 12%.

19175 citizens participated in the vote by this time abroad, including 9681 women.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration announces that, for the time being, there are crowds at the following polling stations abroad: 1/348 Berlin (row of over 100 people); 1/349 Frankfurt (row of over 100 people); 1/351 Hamburg (row of over 100 people); 1/369 Parma (row of over 100 people); 1/379 Masters (row of over 100 people); 1/380 Milan (row of over 100 people); 1/343 Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (row from 50 to 100 people); 1/309 Brussels (row of 50 to 100 people); 1/310 Brussels (row of 50 to 100 people).

For today's election, 556 thousand ballot papers were distributed to polling stations abroad.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the MAEIE urges the diaspora to vote during the day in strict compliance with the rules of conduct in force in the states of residence and to follow the updates of diplomatic missions.
