As many as 542 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,850 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 542 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which two import ones. As many as 76,582 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 39 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –11, medical assistants –21, auxiliary staff – 7.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 790 are in serious condition, of whom 38 patients are connected to assisted breathing; 1,467 patients are in medium seriousness condition, while the other patients are in satisfactory condition.   

In the context, 5,812 people are treated at home with easy forms of COVID-19 and 24,340 are under supervision at the domicile.      

Another 530 persons were treated and discharged from hospitals. As many as 56,312 people have been healed of COVID-19 in all.  

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another15 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,800 people dead of coronavirus in all. The virus killed a 62-year-old woman medical assistant from the Timofei Mosneaga Republican Clinical Hospital. Fifty medical employees have died because of COVID-19 so far.
