Another 5,000 children attend kindergartens in Moldovan capital as of November

Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/ - More than 5,000 children who have earlier not attended pre-school institutions were registered in kindergartens from the Chisinau city.   

The Chisinau city hall informs that, for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, children aged between 2 and 4 years, who had earlier not attended the pre-school institution, were institutionalized in kindergartens from the Moldovan capital.

Thus, on the period 2-6 November, 1,757 children with ages between 2 and 3 years were registered in 134 groups and 3,481 children with ages between 3 and 4 years were registered in 166 groups. New groups were opened in 121 early education institutions from Chisinau.  

Also, the Education, Youth and Sport General Department assessed and monitored 30 kindergartens in terms of observance of the anti-COVID norms, with the following infringements recorded: non-didactic staff improperly equipped; the gates of access to institutions opened during the day; non-observance by parents of the schedule of coming/leaving; lack of notifications from institutions’ yards, with information for parents.

Presently, 32,107 children attend early education institutions from the capital.
