Over 12,000 leases registered in 11 months of 2020

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/- In January-November 2020, 12081 contracts for leasing / renting / real estate were registered. They have been registered with the tax service departments in the territory in which they are located, the State Tax Service (SFS) has reported.

According to the institution, as a result of the lease of real estate and as a result of the registration of contracts by the SFS, in January 2020, revenues worth 22.5 million lei were collected in the budget, exceeding the incomes collected in the similar period of the previous year by 2.3 million lei or an increase of 11.5%.

At the same time, in January - November 2020, the SFS continued the actions of compliance and verification of private people who lease real estate. As a result, during the period 12081 contracts were registered at SFS.

The SFS recommends that people who offer real estate for rent to comply with the tax legislation and to pay the tax worth 7% of the income.

Citizens who rent real estate are required to register leases within three days from the date of conclusion at the structural subdivision of the State Tax Service (Tax Service Directorate), within which they have their basic domicile.
