As many as 1,021 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 3,274 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,021 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which nine import ones. As many as 136,931 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 59 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 16, medical assistants –32, auxiliary staff employees –11.

A number of 3,463 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 272 are in extremely serious condition (48 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 8,239 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 31,820 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 1,387 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 121,402 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 25 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,803 people dead because of the virus till present.
