As many as 440 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 1 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,551 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 440 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 10 import ones. As many as 145,258 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 28 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –11, medical assistants –14 and auxiliary staff employees –3.

A number of 2,678 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 247 are in extremely serious condition (51 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 6,953 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 32,727 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 1,058 people have been treated. As many as 131,701 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19.
