Road workers used over 1,422 tons of anti-skid material in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/- Currently, road traffic on national public roads takes place in winter conditions. In the last 24 hours, snow and anti-slip works have been carried out on the roads in the northern, central and southern areas.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, the Roads company used 140 special units, trained 163 road workers and used 1422.3 tons of anti-skid material.

According to the State Road Administration, works are carried out to restore traffic on the following national roads: G116 R30 - Ștefan Vodă - Alava - Săiți - G117; G119 G118 - Coșcalia - Poplar - Baccealia - R30; G68 R20 - Orhei - Susleni - Ustia - Criuleni.

At the same time, the traffic is carried out with difficulties on the following road sectors: M3.1 Giurgiulesti - border with Ukraine; R34.3 M3 - access road to Slobozia Mare village; M3 Chisinau - Comrat - Giurgiulesti - border with Romania, Ciumai - Burlaceni.

The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure jointly with all responsible public services is monitoring and ensuring the accessibility of road infrastructure in winter conditions.
