Moldovan composer passes away

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ - Composer, merited Master in Art Ion Enache, who lived in Bucharest for more years, has died at the age of 72.
In an interview, Ion Enache said that the happiest years of his life had been the ones when the worked at the Luceafarul Theatre as chief musician, where quite valuable actors were employed. Enache composed music for almost all theatres and cooperated with well-known actors.
Ion Enache was born in the Calarasi on 19 October 1949. He finished the Stefan Neaga music school in 1974 and the Chisinau-based Gavriil Muzicescu Arts Institute, choir conducting specialty in 1979, as well as the composition one in 1984.
In 1975-1979, he was artist in the choir of Moldova’s Radio and Television; subsequently, Enache acted as head of the choir sector at the scientific and methodical centre of the Culture Ministry (1979-1981), head of the vocal and instrumental ensemble at the State Philharmonic of Moldova (1983-1984), musical secretary at the Luceafarul Theatre from Chisinau (staring from 1984).
He was member of the Composers’ Union of Moldova as of 1985.
