As many as 1,550 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,548 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,550 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which six import ones. As many as 189,397 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 76 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 26, medical assistants –36 and auxiliary staff -14.

As many as 3,900 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 322 are in extremely serious condition (56 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 701 people have been treated. As many as 168,143 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 24 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,026 people have died of coronavirus in all.
