As many as 1,801 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/- A number of 5,282 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,801 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which eight import ones. As many as 203,710 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 79 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –30, medical assistants –35 and auxiliary staff -14.

As many as 4,274 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 346 are in extremely serious condition (71 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 10,303 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 18,742 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 1189 people have been treated. As many as 177,339 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 36 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,294 people have died of coronavirus in all.
