Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ - The members of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP) have allowed the holding of international official football matches of the Qualifiers of the Qatar World Football Championship 2020, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The commission ruled that the matches would be held without audience on the Zimbru stadium from Chisinau, by derogation from the provisions of the sub-point 7.4 of the CNESP Decision from 19 March 2021. Thus, the carrying out of the following matches was allowed:

1. Moldova – Faroe Islands, on 25 March, at 21:45;

2. Moldova – Israel, on 31 March 2021, at 21:45.

The draft Decision reads that Moldova’s selected team and the opposing teams will be in quarantine once starting training camps. All teams will make three tests for Covid-19 each, by 20, 7 and 2 days before the match.

In the entire period of the training camp, Moldova’s selected team is in isolation at the Technical Centre of the Moldovan Football Federation from the Vadul lui Voda town. The guest selected teams will travel by charter flights and will be accommodated in hotel on separate floors from the rest of the guests.

Also, the people involved in the holding of the matches will be tested for COVID-19 twice per week before the holding of the match. At the same time, the entrance to the Zimbru stadium will take place through several anti-COVID protection filtres.

The actions are established in line with the UEFA and FIFA Protocols and, respectively, applied at the carrying out of the international football matches in Moldova.
