As many as 175 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 2 May /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,681 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 175 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 251,335 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), four out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 2, auxiliary staff employees – 2.

As many as 1,707 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 199 are in extremely serious condition (32 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 2,502 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,998 are under supervision at home.

Another 431 people have been treated. As many as 240,824 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 12 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,838 people have died of coronavirus in all.
