Number of COVID-19 diseases in Chisinau decreased

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/- Number of COVID-19 diseases in Chisinau is decreasing.

According to the head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health of Chisinau City Hall, Tatiana Bucearschi, on May 16, 198 people diagnosed with COVID-19 were hospitalized, of which 18 were in very serious condition, 83 in serious condition and 14 had a mild form of disease.

"In Chisinau, a total number of 106,157 people were sick with COVID-19, of which 103,032 recovered. The incidence of COVID-19 diseases is decreasing," said Bucearschi.

The official said that the only way to stop the pandemic is to get vaccinated, and people who want it can appeal to family doctor or directly at the Municipal Vaccination Center.

“The number of Chisinau residents who received the first dose of vaccine is 56,476. Much fewer received the booster, only 5,797 people. Compared to the total population of the capital, the figure is small ", Bucearschi said.
