Over one hundred thousand income tax statements submitted for fiscal year 2020

Chisinau, 28 May /MOLDPRES/- For the fiscal period 2020, the subdivisions of the State Tax Service (SFS) received 102,140 declarations on income tax, submitted by the persons carrying out economic activity, up by 2,940 declarations than in 2019.

Also, 176,092 income tax statements were submitted by taxpayers - individuals who are not entrepreneurs, up by 13,398 (or 8.2%) compared to 2019.

According to the data presented by the economic agents, for 2020, total revenues worth 397.5 billion lei and total expenditures of 371.8 billion lei were registered. Compared to 2019, revenues decreased by 35.8 billion lei, and expenditures decreased by 28.8 billion. The income tax declared by economic agents for 2020 amounted to 3.76 billion lei, decreasing by 0.5 billion lei compared to 2019.

According to the data of the income tax statement, the main branches of the national economy that recorded calculated income tax were: trade, manufacturing, construction, financial and insurance activities and information technology and communications.

In the totality of the incomes obtained by private people, the incomes as salary payments predominate (78.16%), followed by the incomes obtained from dividends (10.18%) and the incomes obtained from the transfer in possession and / or use of the real estate and furniture, excluding agricultural land (3.04%).

For the fiscal period 2020, 2,962 persons with incomes of over one million lei each were identified (compared to 2,515 individuals for the period 2019), the total income obtained by these persons is 9,694.4 million lei, and tax withheld in the amount of 611.1 million lei. (compared to 9,028.99 million lei income, and withholding tax in the amount of 586.11 million lei for the period 2019).

The highest amount of income declared by a person in 2020 under the declaration was 339.67 million lei. The youngest person in this category is 18 years old, the oldest - 97.

„The share of declarations submitted using electronic services, out of the total declarations submitted for the fiscal period 2020, is 56.3% in the case of economic agents, and 87.6% - individuals - citizens. Thus, it is found that the automated methods of electronic reporting enjoy an increasing use among taxpayers ", according to SFS.
