Moldovan cabinet approves state demand for next school year in vocational education institutions

Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the state demand on the training of specialty staff according to professions, specialties in vocational education institutions for the 2021-2022 school year, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

Thus, the state demand provides for the admission of 8,279 people to vocational secondary education institutions with budgetary financing, of whom 929 places are seen for education at professional training programme through dual education. A number of 525 places are available under contract, by paying the education fee, in public and private institutions.    

As many as 3,928 people with budgetary financing will be admitted to post-secondary non-tertiary vocational education institutions with budgetary financing, of whom 166 for education at professional training programme through dual education. The admission plan on contract basis, with the payment of the education fee in public and private institutions, sees the admission of 7,310 people.

The admission plan with budgetary financing in vocational education includes for the next academic year an increase by 22 places based on gymnasium education, with the cutting of the number of places provided based on lyceum education and secondary education.  

According to the Education, Culture and Research Ministry, the average cost for the education of one pupil within the professional education programmes based on lyceum education and secondary education is of about 30,000 lei annually.
