As many as 55 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,219 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 55 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which seven import ones. As many as 256,669 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one out of all cases registered is among medical employees – one medical assistant.

As many as 190 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 34 are in extremely serious condition (seven patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 629 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,118 are under supervision at home.

Another 53 people have been treated. As many as 249,643 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another four deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,191 people have died of coronavirus in all.
