As many as 118 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 August /MOLDPRES/- A number of 3,141 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 118 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import ones. As many as 259,667 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), no case is among medical employees.

As many as 272 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 58 are in extremely serious condition (13 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 865 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 24,082 are under supervision at home.

Another 62 people have been treated. As many as 252,166 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of two other deaths caused by the new coronavirus, the death toll reached 6,257.
