As many as 161 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/- A number of 5,635 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 161 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 14 import ones. As many as 259,828 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), there are three cases among medical employees.

As many as 377 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 59 are in extremely serious condition (14 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 846 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 24,443 are under supervision at home.

Another 117 people have been treated. As many as 252,283 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of four other deaths caused by the new coronavirus, the death toll reached 6,261.
