COVID-19 disease rate increased by more than 30%

Chisinau, 4 August /MOLDPRES/- In the last 14 days, the disease rate with SARS-Cov-2 virus was 46 cases per 100 thousand citizens, increasing by over 30% compared to the previous period. The data were presented yesterday by the leadership of the Ministry of Health to the National Committee for the Coordination of Vaccination.

So far, 1,051,038 doses of vaccine have been administered in our country, the vaccine coverage of the population being 18% - with a single dose, and 12.71% - with a complete vaccine cycle. As for the medical workers, over 82% of them administered both doses, therefore the morbidity rate among medical specialists was reduced by 90%.

In total, our country has received since March 1,530,330 doses of anti-COVID serum, of which Pfizer - 256,230, Sinopharm - 152,000, Astra Zeneca - 513,600, Sputnik - 206,000, Sinovac - 100,000 and Janssen - 302,500. The proportion of doses used is 68.6%. There are 530 vaccination points open in the country, which are active even on holidays.

Health experts remind the population of the need to comply with personal protection measures and the administration of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine as the most effective measure of protection against infection.
