As many as 268 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldoba

Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/- A number of 5,749 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 268 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 11 import ones. As many as 261,524 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), two cases are among medical employees.

As many as 466 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 69 are in extremely serious condition (10 patient are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 837 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 23,935 are under supervision at home.

Another 193 people have been treated. As many as 253,503 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of three other deaths caused by the new coronavirus, the death toll reached 6,298.
