As many as 97 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 August /MOLDPRES/- A number of 2,768 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 97 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 2 import ones. As many as 262,044 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), no cases are among medical employees.

As many as 322 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 24 are in extremely serious condition (2 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,028 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 24,631 are under supervision at home.

Another 135 people have been treated. As many as 254,026 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of four other deaths caused by the new coronavirus, the death toll reached 6,308.
