Police to boost control of compliance with COVID-19 prevention measures

Chisinau, 16 August /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Internal Affairs will ensure the intensification of measures to prevent and control COVID-19 infection at border crossing points, with the smoothing of passenger traffic according to the requirements of the pandemic situation, depending on the degree of alert, according to the August 13 Extraordinary National Commission of Public Health (CNESP), which entered into force today.

According to CNESP, the Ministry of Interior will ensure intensified control of compliance with measures to prevent and control COVID-19 infection, according to the decisions of the Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health, in closed and open public spaces, public transport, agricultural markets, shopping centers, areas approval etc .; will provide support in the active monitoring of people placed in self-isolation, in home treatment and contacts; will actively involve the staff in the implementation of the vaccination campaign; will ensure vaccination coverage of at least 70% of subordinate staff.

The Civil Aviation Authority will ensure: access to the Chisinau International Airport only for passengers, with the presentation of the travel ticket (without companions, etc.); distribution and completion through airlines of the Epidemiological Data Sheet for passengers and passengers on board the aircraft; creating optimal conditions for the separation of passenger flows at all stages of control, including until leaving the airport; avoid congestion in coaches for the transport of passengers to and from the ship.

Also, the Civil Aviation Authority will ensure the intensification of communication measures regarding the rules of conduct and strict observance of health protection norms, including by broadcasting, on a regular basis, radio announcements and placing information materials inside Chisinau International Airport; strict observance of COVID-19 infection prevention and control measures, including by checking the temperature at the entrance to the Chisinau International Airport, ensuring the wearing of a protective mask and observing the social distance.

Failure to comply with the public health measures set out in this decision constitutes a danger to public health and will serve as a basis for the application of measures of contraventional and / or criminal liability of private people and legal entities.
