Moldovan composer's 110th birth anniversary

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/- Today we mark the 110th birth anniversary of composer David Gherșfeld, conductor, musician, teacher and organizer, People's Artist.
He composed over 200 songs.
In 1961 he was awarded the honorary title People's Artist of the Republic of Moldova.
In 1992, he emigrated to the United States in Bradenton, Florida, where he died in January 2005.
