5,104 new doses of COVID-19 vaccine to be delivered to residents of Transnistrian region

Chisinau, 7 September /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau authorities are delivering a new batch of vaccines against COVID-19 to citizens living on the left bank of the Dniester and Bender.
Authorities in Chisinau will deliver 5,104 doses of anti-Covid vaccine to health centers in the Transnistrian region, of which 2,004 doses of Pfizer and 3,100 doses of Jonson, procured by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the Bureau of Reintegration Policies said.
Of all the humanitarian assistance offered to Moldova and the acquisitions made from budgetary resources, the authorities proportionally redistributed about 190 thousand doses of COVID vaccine to residents of Transnistria.
Also, for the maintenance of exemplary services and the rapid healing of those infected, in addition to the vaccine, the Transnistrian region was sent multiple humanitarian lots containing personal protective equipment and high-performance medical equipment.
Also, in the coming days it is expected to hand over a new batch of humanitarian aid to the inhabitants of the left bank of the Dniester and Bender municipality, 500 thousand masks, 240 thousand respirators and 50 thousand quick tests.
Chisinau will continue to contribute to the well-being and health protection of the inhabitants of the left bank of the Dniester and Bender municipality through all possible mechanisms.
