Batch of about 54,000 doses of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine reached Chisinau

Chisinau, 9 September /MOLDPRES/- A batch of 53,820 doses of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine arrived in Chisinau today. The serum is part of the sixth tranche of the total batch of 700,830 doses purchased by the Ministry of Health, through the Office for the Management of External Assistance Programs.

According to the data of the Ministry of Health, so far, the National Agency for Public Health has received 108,810 doses from that group. The batch of 53,820 doses was stored at ANSP and is to be distributed to all vaccination points in the country.

In total, the Republic of Moldova received 334,620 doses of Pfizer vaccine. Through the COVAX platform - 125,190 doses, donation from Romania - 100,620 doses, acquisitions - 108,810 doses.

So far, 718,749 people in Moldova have completed the full vaccination schedule, and since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 1,317,848 doses of vaccine have been administered.
