Moldovan writer celebrates birth anniversary

Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/- Poet, prose writer and essayist Miroslava Metleaeva, journalist, translator, literary critic and historian, scientific researcher, holder of the Mihai Eminescu medal, celebrates 75th anniversary today.

She is a member of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Moldova (1995) and of the Writers' Union of Romania (2002), a member of the Council of the Translators' Union of the CIS and the Baltic States, a member of the PEN Center of the Moldovan Branch (2012).

For her activity she was appreciated with diplomas, prizes and other distinctions: Diploma and prize of the International Poetry Festival “Nichita Stănescu”, Ploiești, 2003; Chisinau, 2006; “Mihai Eminescu” medal (Republic of Moldova), 2010; Diploma and award of the International Book Fair, for translations, Chisinau, 2012; Laureate of the International Literary Competition in Germany "Best Book of the Year 2015" for "Puzzle Game" (Berlin, Frankfurt, 2015) and others.
