Four foreigners detained on case of small plane found in Edinet

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/- Four people, including three citizens of Ukraine and one from Belarus, were detained yesterday morning after border guards found a small plane in Edinet. Two of the four managed to escape, being announced in a national search.

The leadership of the Border Police reported today in a press conference that no cigarettes were found on board the plane, but the AN-2 model plane was detained on its return from Romania.

In this case, several searches were carried out and a criminal case was launched. The small aircraft is not legally registered on the territory of Ukraine, and is currently disassembled on the territory of Marculesti Airport.

The detention operation of the suspects took place when the aircraft landed and was refueled.

Yesterday, the crew of an AN-2 plane was detained in Edineț district near Hlinaia Mică.
