Moldovan musicologist celebrates 85th birthday

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/- Musicologist, composer, conductor and associate professor Pavel Anton, author of textbooks, celebrates his 85th birthday today.

He is the author of music textbooks for the general school for the 5th grade. He signed collections of notes for music education classes, methodical indications for music, methodological-scientific articles, original works and processing of folk music for the choir.

For the remarkable achievements obtained in the field of music, he was awarded Eminent of education and culture. He was listed in the Book of Honor of the talents of the Republic of Moldova. According to the specialists in the field, the contribution of the conductor Pavel Anton was and is considerable in building the Romanian cultural spirit.
