As many as 1,587 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 9,629 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,587 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eighteen out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 292,839 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 38 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (10 physicians, 19 medical assistants and 9 representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,958 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 154 are in extremely serious condition and 12 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,214 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,188 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,230 people have been treated. As many as 276,345 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 21 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,753 people have died of coronavirus in all.
