As many as 670 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 10 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,966 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 670 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Two out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 306,647 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 9 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (5 physicians, 2 medical assistants, 2 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,212 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 198 are in extremely serious condition and 10 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 8,754 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,456 are under supervision at home.

Another 835 people have been treated. As many as 288,915 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 22 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 7,024 people have died of coronavirus in all.
