Roadmen carrying out works to repair degradation of bridge over Dniester

Chisinau, 25 October /MOLDPRES/- Works for repairing the degradations at the road bridge positioned on the republican road R5 M5 - Vadul lui Vodă - M4, km 7 + 200, which crosses the Dniester river, near the town of Vadul lui Vodă in Chisinau are underway. Currently, the contractor is carrying out works to dismantle the damaged joints, preparatory works for the arrangement of the new joints, as well as to replace the wear layer on the road side of the road bridge.

The works are executed on half way, without suspending the traffic of traffic on this road segment, according to the State Road Administration (ASD).

The mentioned bridge is to take over the redirected road traffic from the road bridge positioned on the expressway M1 Border with Romania - Leuseni - Chisinau - Dubasari - border with Ukraine, km 129 + 810, which crosses the Dniester river near Dubasari, which will enter capital repair at the beginning of next year, requiring the suspension of road traffic on it, indicates ASD.

The repair of the bridge on the R5 road is carried out within the Program on the distribution of road funds for national public roads for 2021.
