Moldovan PM talked to counterparts from Ukraine, Georgia

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/- Prospects of Moldova's cooperation with Ukraine and Georgia in Associated Trio format and agendas of the three states for the Eastern Partnership Summit were discussed at today's online meeting between Natalia Gavrilița and counterparts - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmihal and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

Gavrilita appreciated the cooperation relations between the three countries in the Associated Trio format. According to the Prime Minister, further strengthening joint efforts in this format will help promote dialogue with the EU and achieve new goals across European states.

Natalia Gavrilița also referred to the preparation for the Eastern Partnership Summit, due on 15 December 2021 in Brussels. The Prime Minister noted that the Summit is a good opportunity to establish new areas of cooperation with associated partners, which will continue to bring the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia closer to the EU on the political and economic dimension.

In the talks, the prime ministers of the three states reconfirmed the dialogue agenda at the EaP Summit, which addresses European aspirations, boosting security cooperation, as well as the importance of EU support for ensuring the territorial integrity of countries. At the same time, the officials referred to some specific topics of cooperation in the Trio format. These relate to the interaction in the sphere of the digital economy, the energy sector, transport, the liberalization of roaming payments with the EU.
