Head of Ciocana office of Moldovan capital's Prosecutor's Office detained

Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/- Anti-corruption prosecutors, together with the MAI's SPIA officers, are carrying out several criminal prosecutions today in a case based on illicit enrichment. Following the raids, the deputy chief prosecutor of Chisinau, head of the Ciocana Office was detained for 72 hours.
According to the data of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, the journalistic investigations regarding the prosecutor's fortune served as the basis for starting the criminal investigation. Eight searches are to be carried out at various locations: at the home, in the car and at the office of the pefrson concerned in the criminal case.
