Another 59,670 doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine brough to Moldovan capital au

Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/ - The National Public health Agency (ANSP) today received a consignment of 59,670 doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine out of the 700,830 doses bought by the Health Ministry (MS) through the External Assistance Programme Management Office .
According to the Health Ministry, the vaccine will be distributed proportionally to all immunization points from Moldova.
The vaccine was purchased, in the context of the implementation of the Health Component of the Emergency Response to COVID-19 and Support for Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Project, in accordance with the framework agreement on loan between Moldova and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), signed in July 2020 and ratified under the Law No 168/2020.
Moldova has received 856, 220 doses of Pfizer vaccine in all. As many as 125,190 doses were received through the COVAX platform, 100,620 doses – on behalf of Romania and 345,150 doses were bought. So far, 898,136 people have ended the full vaccination scheme in Moldova.
