As many as 549 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,879 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 549 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Four out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 368,497 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), six out of all infection cases are among medical employees (1 physician, 4 medical assistants and 1 auxiliary staff employee).

As many as 1,303 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 182 are in extremely serious condition and 44 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 3,143 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 8,807 are under supervision at home.

Another 533 people have been treated. As many as 353,011 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 22 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,315 people have died of coronavirus in all.
