As many as 257 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 12 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,186 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 257 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. One out of the new cases is import. Thus, 369,659 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 2 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (one physician, one medical assistant).

As many as 810 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 105 are in extremely serious condition and 13 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,967 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 8,637 are under supervision at home.

Another 293 people have been treated. As many as 354,258 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 14 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,368 people have died of coronavirus in all.
