COVID test required for hospitalization to be done free of charge - health ministry says

Chisinau, Dec. 20 / MOLDPRES /- Patients who are scheduled to be hospitalized and have a compulsory insurance policy will be tested for free at COVID-19.
Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco said that patients with a compulsory health insurance policy will be able to perform PCR (or rapid) tests absolutely free of charge, either in primary medicine or at the time of hospitalization, as the case may be.
Until now, all patients who were hospitalized scheduled for various treatments or planned operations were required to receive a negative COVID test at the time of admission. Most of these tests were paid for by the patient.
