Over 7,600 homes purchased under First Home Program

Chisinau, Feb. 7 / MOLDPRES /- So far, 7,647 homes have been purchased through the government's First Home program. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 4.16 billion lei, and the total amount of active guarantees is 2.02 billion lei. 

According to the Ministry of Finance, 5872 people receive compensation from the state budget to partially cover the expenses for paying the mortgage loan under the Program, of which 1360 people under the First Home Program 2, 3289 under the First Home Program 3, 1209 in under the First Home Program 4 and 14 under the First Home Program 5.

Of the 7647 beneficiaries, 5253 are families and 2394 are unmarried young people. The average age of the applicants is 31 years. The average surface of the purchased houses is 60 m.p., while the average value of the purchased houses is 635.73 thousand lei.

Of the total number of dwellings purchased under the Program, 6935 are apartments and 712 are individual dwellings.

The beneficiary of the Government Program First Home may be a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, aged between 18 and 50 years, who is officially employed by a state institution or private company in the country and has income from official sources. The share of the initial own participation is 5% of the purchase price of the house.
