As many as 2,742 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/- A number of 10,648 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 2,742 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 15 out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 471,524 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 138 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (34 physicians, 69 medical assistants, 35 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 3,329 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 241 are in extremely serious condition and 37 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 25,773 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 23,027 are under supervision at home.

Another 3,781 people have been treated. As many as 414,014 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 27 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,803 people have died of coronavirus in all.
